I am not sure it's such a big deal. We could call the dark one Darth
and the light one Luke, and people would just click on them and try
them and it'd be enough.

Even better would be to suport a piece of descriptive text included in
the theme, but I'm not sure how it would get translated.

Even better would be an example icon. Then we don't need to care about
the wording that much.

There is already an example icon. I added this months ago!

The names are of no importance to me. I use the click and try approach to
check out the themes for my MATE desktop. I have done the same thing with
the themes for GIMP.

You're right. I think Photoshop had the same questions and doubts we are
experience here; which is why they probably included icons of the themes in
the preferences.

... and I mentioned them in my original post, and gave an example of why
this might not be sufficient.

Re: [Gimp-developer] Ctrl-Shift-clicking your way to a new layer mask

2016-06-01 Thread C R
After having used this feature for a few weeks now in production work, I
find it saves a lot of clicks/time, and I'm happy to have it applied to
trunk as-is.
I think other professional workflows will benefit greatly from it in
various ways.
