[Gimp-user] problem with parasites in script-fu
Hello, I have created a small script-fu for batch processing, but I have stuck on defining the parasite, I would be thankful for help. I have found that parasite have structure of (name, flags, data) in perl-fu and (name, flags, size, data) in C, but I haven't found on web and in existing scrit-fu's the use of it in Scheme. My script: define (script-fu-xcf2gif infile outfile) (let* ( (img (car (gimp-file-load 1 infile infile))) (drawable (car (gimp-drawable-get-image img))) (parasite '("gimp-comment", PERSISTENT, 13, "some comment")) ) (gimp-image-flatten img) (gimp-image-parasite-detach img "gimp-comment") (gimp-image-parasite-attach img parasite) (gimp-image-convert-indexed img 1 0 256 0 1 "") (file-gif-save 1 img drawable outfile outfile 1 0 0 0) ) ) (script-fu-register "script-fu-xcf2gif" "/Xtns/Script-Fu/Test/xcftogif" "XCFtoGIF" "Irek Slonina" "Irek Slonina" "2004" "" ) and I run it like this: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ufki]$ gimp -d -i -s -S -c -b '(script-fu-xcf2gif "blokada.xcf" "blokada.gif")' '(gimp-quit 0)' This is a development version of The GIMP. Debug messages may appear here. gimp_composite: use=yes, verbose=no +mmx +sse +sse2 -3dnow -altivec -vis batch command: experienced an execution error. (gimp:2766): Gimp-Plug-In-WARNING **: plug_in_close: plug-in aborted before sending its procedure return values [EMAIL PROTECTED] ufki]$ Could you point me where could be the problem? (execution error is on line with parasite-attach). I am running gimp-2.0-0.pre1.2. [Gimp-user] Updating text doesn't trigger
Hmmm... Updating pre-existing text in an image with a text layer doesn't trigger Gimp that any changes have occurred (ie., you can close the image and Gimp won't throw up the 'Changes were made to 'image'. Close anyway?' dialog - hence you lose your changes). I'm currently using Pre2 for Windows. I'll check it at home on my Linux box after work. Can someone confirm/deny this anomoly before I file a bug report? Eric Pierce ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

[Gimp-user] GUADEC logo invitation
Hey there, The fifth annual GNOME conference, GUADEC [GNOME Users and Developers European Conference], will be held in Kristiansand 28-30.June, 2004. We need a logo for the event. Ideally we are looking for a logo including the GNOME footage with a local Norwegian touch. If you are interested in helping out please send your proposal to [EMAIL PROTECTED] as soon as possible. The logo will be used for promotion, on website, t-shirts etc.. Since the logo will be used on material of many different sizes, proposals should be in a vector format if possible. All proposals will be on display on the website of the conference. Many thanks, The GVADEC V Team You can check out some more information on the GUADEC website at http://2004.guadec.org/ ___ Gimp-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] http://lists.xcf.berkeley.edu/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user

Great news! Some people approached me when I did the FOSDEM GIMP talk on OSX and were very interested in running GIMP on their MacOS.
