Re: [Gimp-user] Gimop for windows

2001-03-05 Thread VosSedai

A resounding yes. Ive hooked up many of my win-friends one who does
graphics stuff commercially and they love it 2 have actually switched
OSs because of how low overhead linux graphic programs and the system in
general are they just went with the GIMP and blender and have become
rampant advocates :) I would suggest it for anyone

Re: [Gimp-user] display and xv

2001-03-15 Thread VosSedai

Sorry but I also find it curious as Ive never had any problem viewing Gimp
generated JPGs in XV, EE, or any other external viewer. No help I know but
an addendum to other answers.
cheers & good luck

Re: [Gimp-user] A Financial Awakening

2001-04-10 Thread VosSedai

Off topic sorry for this all but had to say something Respamming the
list is _not_ the answer as spammers very rarely read the lists they bulk
mail to. An answer however unsatisfiying is to write the owners of the mail
server it came from. Sometimes (most) its a spoofed or illegal addy but
sometimes it isnt either way its the access providers responsibility to take
care of it. Enclose to them the full headers and a portion of the spam
along with nasty comments
if you wish but it helps to be polite sorry for the rant but
complaining to the list effectively doubles the amount of inconsequent spam
as i have just done...again my apologies.

[Gimp-user] Re:multiple mailings

2001-07-31 Thread VosSedai

To give feedback regarding multiple mailings i only received it once and
also checked my spam filters and stuff and theyre not in there, also noone
else has complained so i have a tendency to beleive
that noone else recieved duplicates either Sorry to say but .mil and
.gov servers have a tendency to... well shall we say kindly... not be the
most efficient or well organized handlers of mail and internet services
around. So anyway my 2cents worth.

Re: [Gimp-user] Creating more natural/traditional appearance effects?

2001-09-21 Thread VosSedai

I dont know how realistic ( or what is even considered realistic) but at
gug.sunsite.dk there is an artist Angela Logan who is both a traditional and
graphic artist. Her art is amazing and done in her own words ...with a mouse
and simple brushes...and smudge tool. You could check it out she also has a
web site and contact info. Hope it helps you along your way :)

:) lol ben i gave almost exactly the same advice although i did not have the
url for angelas site handy. Your sister is truly a wonderful and talented
artist and her work with the gimp is the most realistic i have ever seen.
