The problem is probably that word converts its images to a vector format (wmf or something strange like that). Check out the menu to see if it allows something like "save as bitmap" (I know mathematica has such a menu). Good luck. -James Smaby

Howdy all-- I wonder if anyone knows how to copy an image out of Word doc into GIMP. We have some documentation images I need to work with, but the images are locked and I can't seem to see how to extract them. I do a control-C to copy a selected image, but there is nothing to paste.
