Re: [Gimp-user] Viewport rotation
Hi, as Liam R E Quin said, this feature already exists in the GIMP development version. Here you find more information: https://plus.google.com/116634837115748851709/posts/4jH8KPuACwh To test the GIMP development version, you can try a nightly build for Windows. [Gimp-user] Viewport rotation
I'm wondering when or if GIMP is ever going to get viewport rotation (non-modifying like zoom). All the other major paint programs have this feature and it improves working with smaller sized tablets immensely since you can turn the viewport instead of the tablet for pen strokes that would otherwise be awkward or ramped (when the tablet has limited space like the area around most people's desktop PCs or laptops aboard a plane, etc.). It can make mouse drawing less awkward as well. ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

Re: [Gimp-user] GIMP kickstarter?
Fundraising for one big program/enviroment might be difficult - how do we agree which funcionality should be improved/fixed first? Maybe it would be easier to accept GIMP as an ecosystem, and focus on funding plugins for certain jobs? Or maybe there is already some kind of market where we can specify what such plugin should do and hire someone to write it? [Gimp-user] brush reacts different
Hello, After creating a gif animation with Gimp 2.8.4. The brush reacts differently than default. It reacts like a leaking inkt pen. I tried to reset it, but does not work. If I create a new empty drawing, the brush reacts as default. Default is a non sharp like Hoe can I change the brush behavior to default?? Re: [Gimp-user] [Gimp user] How to remove the filename suggesting behavior of Saving dialog in Gimp 2.4.7
i've encountered similar problem in GIMP 2.6 while saving however i cannot replicate it. In my case it was probably something depending on GTK/Xorg. If You're able to replicate this behavior try to 1) open terminal 2) run GIMP in this terminal 3) Replicate this behaviour 4) Look at the error messages in the terminal. This error messages might give some information what exactly is failing 2013/7/7, minhsien0330 : > Dear all: > In Gimp 2.4.7,when I am typing new filename for a image, gimp will pop out > some filename suggestion for me,this behavior will block my work when I > using tablet pen. > > I want to remove this feature of gimp 2.4.7 from source code and recompile > it. > > Would anybody tell me where and what to remove in source code or give me a > patch? > > Thank you very much. > > Best Regards, > Minhsien0330 > ___ > gimp-user-list mailing list > List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org > List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list > -- Dominik Tabisz ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list

[Gimp-user] GIMP kickstarter?
Hello everyone another fan of GIMP here! As you know gimp is an awesome program made mainly by passionate volunteers and it is open source and completely free. ...Unfortunately that also means that it doesn't get the funding other similar "bussiness" projects do. For instance Photoshop, corel painter or paint tool sai to name a few. While it's great the fact that this proyect is supported by donations and by the free work of the developers. I assume that they have other comitments to earn a living. I think We all could help (via kickstarter) to fund a "big" jump on this program Mainly buying more manpower and/or whatever resources the developers might need to get a lot of improvements in a sh0rter amount of time or even pay the developers to have them in this proyect longer. Donations as of now tend to be random and aimless. With a kickstater The GIMP team could easily get 1 million dollars (or maybe even more) though donations. If the people know that they are getting a product they love much faster.
