The proper tool for the job will make your life much easier. [Gimp-user] GImp 2.8.4 and PhotoShop CS5 PSD files
Hi! Has anyone had any issues opening PhotoShop CS5 PSD files in Gimp 2.8.4? A friend is looking at buying a WordPress theme that comes with PhotoShop CS5 PSD files, so I was wondering if anyone had experienced any issues with opening CS5 PSD files in Gimp 2.8.4. Everyone who tried opening designs that rely on text layers and layer effects. Some also run into the incorrect reading of layer groups. GIMP also doesn't have a number of layer modes. Use the python version of the plugin which has been updated for Gimp 2.8.x. You should be able to locate it in the registry.
