[Gimp-user] GIMP TurboPrint2 error msg
Heh - for some reason I thought this one came from Bugzilla. Forget the noise about 'NOTABUG/NOTGNOME'. Chris Many thanks, Chris, for the leads and information. I too now suspect the problem lies with Mate and Gnome keyrings. Strangely, for me, Evolution seems to use the Mate keyring without problem. I have found the following two postings which I will examine closely and see if I can resolve my problem. http://community.linuxmint.com/tutorial/view/848 https://bugs.launchpad.net/linuxmint/+bug/1005635 It is good to know that GIMP does not use the keyrings when printing. At least TurboPrint2 still prints despite the error message. TurboPrint is the only piece of proprietary Linux software I have ever bought but it is well woth the cost. Again, many thanks for your assistance. -- George-R (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
Re: [Gimp-user] GIMP -2.8.10 Brushes

Earlier, versions that I used had some very simple paint brushes in six or seven thickness sizes, which were convenient for me to pick from in order to draw the lines or shapes of different width in my gray-scale sketches which I drew for my books. However, I do not find those brush-sizes in gimp-2.8.10. Can someone guide me how I can get those simple paint-brushes and how I can install them in this new version? You can still create various sized brushes (as previous versions did) but then any time you change a brush you'll need to verify the brush size prior to using it (the slider has a reset button next to it for this purpose). -- Stratadrake strata_ran...@hotmail.com Numbers may not lie, but neither do they tell the whole truth. ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list

Randhir Phagura rsphagura at gmail.com writes: Thanks Judah. Yes, I got the same brushes which I was used to; but they draw lines of same size 20. How can I rectify that so that the lines are proportionate to the sizes displayed in GIMP toolbox. I'm not sure of your intentions here, do you want to scale the size of the brush you are using, if so you can use the [ and ] keys, or does the brush you're using not scale with a fixed all-round diameter, for instance if the width and height of your brush are different, if this is the case then you'd need to change your aspect ration to 0.00 in the tool dialogue in the tool box, this will only apply if the original brush has the same width and height.
