You dont mention your operating system, but if you go to http://download.gimp.org/pub/gimp/v2.8/ you will see them all. Windows is at the bottom of that list as is OSX Also if you just downloaded it but got a 2.6, it certainly means you did not download it from the gimp.org official website. Maybe you still got a totally legit GIMP, but just in case, it is better to always pass through the official website to avoid scams. In any case, have fun with GIMP! [Gimp-user] GIMP 2.8 per Windows, problem with the color picker
Hello friends, it's 2014 and i just updated gimp to 2.8.10 from 2.8.2 and am still getting issue with ALL COLOR PICKERS linked from any of the dialogs. The color picker always returns black color regarless of where you click. I am on RDP, Win7 x64 Slovak. This really makes Gimp useless. -- stAn99 (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list

Try Edit-Preferences-Default Image -- Owen I Have changed the preferences to inches. But any jpeg I edit, the dialog box for Scale image always defaults to Pixels, print size is in mm, and canvas size is Pixels. Even if I change these settings for one image, when I open another image, I have to change my settings all over again. It seems like GIMP should as least keep my settings for the current session, and it would be nice if it could remember them until I change them. GIMP does, it appears you have a system or install problem or are not using packaging from a recognized gimp repository. Some facts might help as you have *only* offered a problem. -- (paka)Patrick Shanahan Plainfield, Indiana, USA @ptilopteri http://en.opensuse.orgopenSUSE Community Memberfacebook/ptilopteri http://wahoo.no-ip.orgPhoto Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2 Registered Linux User #207535@ http://linuxcounter.net ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
