[Gimp-user] Can't enter text
Hi there, This probably has to do with a setting i've changed somehow, but I just can't figure this out... When I use the text tool, and click onto a layer to add text, I start typing, and no text is entered, the program just flips me to another tool depending on what letter I press on the keyboard. Any help would be appreciated. I am using Gimp 2.8.3 on a Mac Mini with OSX 10.9.3 My Mini has a 2.3GHz Intel Core i5 5 GB 1333 MHz DDR3 Thanks, James -- pinky153 (via www.gimpusers.com/forums) ___ gimp-user-list mailing list List address:gimp-user-list@gnome.org List membership: https://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gimp-user-list List archives: https://mail.gnome.org/archives/gimp-user-list
Re: [Gimp-user] Scroll buttons
This certainly looks like a window manager problem. I don't believe that gimp has any control over scroll bar position or style. It looks to me like a style thing. In gimp, you can turn scroll bars off and on under Preferences > Image Windows > Appearance > Show Scrollbars, But no other influence AFAIK. Just for kicks, I would try changing your windows theme and see what kind of results you get. I really cannot remember any difference in the display, but restarting windows of what-ever version surely would have no bearing even thou windows users have that *habit* deeply ingrained. Aiui the window manager determines how various elements are displayed and I doubt that GIMP has that finely grained control to actually determine the *location* of the slider controls but rather the display of and left/right or top/bottom location, not the actual arrows themselves. perhaps a windows user can advise, I have no copy of windows since 3.0. I use KDE4 on openSUSE-Factory and see nothing resembling your example. [Gimp-user] Scroll buttons
Strangest thing...I went to scroll a pic to the left and the scroll button wasn't there. Its positioned has moved next to the right scroll button (pic). The same is true for the scroll up button. It's moved next to the scroll down button. How do I move them back to their proper positions? Using 2.6.8.
