When you click the GIMP icon in Start menu, does anything at all happen? If it 
doesn't, try this: right-click the Start button, choose Run, and put the 
following in the Open text field:

"C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\bin\gimp-2.10.exe" --verbose

Then click OK. Hopefully, you'll get at least a black window with some text 
this time. Right-click the titlebar of this window, choose Edit → Select All 
from the menu, then press Enter - this copies the content of the window to 
clipboard. Please paste the result in e-mail, it'll hopefully tell why GIMP 
isn't starting properly.

Right-click the installer, go to Digital signatures tab and double-click the 
digital signature there (you should see two of them with "Jernej Simončič" as 
the signer, it doesn't matter which one you double-click). If the window that 
opens shows "This digital signature is OK", and the signer is "Jernej 
Simončič", the installer is fine, and your antivirus has a false positive, 
which you should report.

If the digital signature isn't fine, the file was signed by somebody else, or 
the Digital signatures tab is missing altogether, somebody has altered the 
installer you downloaded, and you should delete it and download it again from 
.

There's nothing stopping anybody from translating GIMP to Galician. As soon as 
that's done, the translation will be included in the official distribution.

I kind of doubt that TrendMicro is the problem, given that I'm using it on my 
development machine (the one where GIMP installers are built and tested; it 
also runs at many of my company's clients, where I sometimes download and 
install GIMP).
