I get this issue with fuzzy select, and actually with any selection tool: As soon as the section is make the image is blacked out or inversed to mono black and white. I screen captured the issue here: http://imgur.com/a/B8sYF Gimp did not display this behaviour initially and it seemingly started without reason. I have re-installed it but that didn't fix anything. Any clues to fix this issue would be welcome!
