Thanks, I will try to debug from the projects view, I'll try to figure out the route to /projects/ first. [gitorious] A project is not displaying on the Projects page for a single user
Hi, I am trying to identify what relations/links I am missing in the DB to fix the issue of one of my user that cannot see a project in the projects page. This user if he goes to https:///projects he cannot see one specific project. This project is id 13 in DB. Then if he goes to the url https:/// he CAN see the project itself. The project belong to a developer group and the user is part of this group. So he should get access to this project. How do I fix this issue by having the project displayed on the projects page for this specific user that is missing the project on his projects page? Re: [gitorious] Can we desactivated OpenID login?
Hi Ken, Thanks for pointing out the instructions. I followed them, the only thing I added to fix was a conflict in the gitorious.sample.yml. After that I modified my gitorious.yml with: enable_openid = false I restarted the passenger with touch public/restart.txt and it is working. No more Open ID on the login prompt. Thank you for your great help. [gitorious] Can we desactivated OpenID login?
Hi, I installed my gitorious on a shared hosting (my only public server I have access too) and I want to deactivate the openid login. I don't see any link to register that is good because it is my personal repository and no one should access it other than me. But I still see the openid login. Is there a way to disable it through a configuration? Thank you! [gitorious] Re: create database step is failing of install on latest Gentoo
Hi Berry, I had the same issue on a debian gitorious installation. To fix that you will have to edit the file "boot.rb", on a default installation of gitorious this file is found in /var/www/gitorious/config/boot.rb. Edit the file by adding the line "require 'thread'". After the change, the file should look like the following: # Don't change this file! # Configure your app in config/environment.rb and config/environments/*.rb RAILS_ROOT = "#{File.dirname(__FILE__)}/.." unless defined?(RAILS_ROOT) require 'thread' # you need to add this line here module Rails Regards Dominick On Friday, June 1, 2012 3:06:45 PM UTC-4, Berry Sizemore wrote: > > Hello, > > The create database step is failing on the latest version of Gentoo > > bundle exec rake db:create:allin /var/www/gitorious) rake aborted! > uninitialized constant ActiveSupport::Dependencies::Mutex > /var/www/gitorious/Rakefile:10:in `require' (See full trace by running task > with --trace) > > --trace shows const_missing > > bundle exec rake db:create:all --trace > (in /var/www/gitorious) > rake aborted! > uninitialized constant ActiveSupport::Dependencies::Mutex > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2503:in > `const_missing' > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:55 > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support.rb:56:in > `require'/var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support.rb:56/var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/misc.rake:18:in > `require' > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/misc.rake:18 > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/rails.rb:4:in `load' > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/rails.rb:4 > /var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/rails.rb:4:in > `each'/var/www/gitorious/vendor/rails/railties/lib/tasks/rails.rb:4/var/www/gitorious/Rakefile:10:in > `require' > /var/www/gitorious/Rakefile:10 > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2383:in `load' > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2383:in > `raw_load_rakefile'/usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2017:in > `load_rakefile' > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2068:in > `standard_exception_handling' > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2016:in > `load_rakefile'/usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2000:in > `run' > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:2068:in > `standard_exception_handling' > /usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/lib/rake.rb:1998:in > `run'/usr/local/lib64/rubyee/gems/1.8/gems/rake-0.8.7/bin/rake:31/usr/local/bin/rake:23:in > `load' > /usr/local/bin/rake:23 > > -- To post to this group, send email to gitorious@googlegroups.com To unsubscribe from this group, send email to gitorious+unsubscr...@googlegroups.com
Re: [gitorious] Gitorious Menu with permissions issue
Thanks for the reply. But it is not an installation issue. I'll explain you what happen and maybe it will help somebody else. Somebody at my workplace created a project and then he created a repo that was fine, until we decided to make this project available to multiple developers. At that moment we created a team added the devs to the team and changed the ownership of the project to the team it is where it got missed up. At that point the repo was owned by the team but not the project and everybody lost their access to the "Add repository" menu under the project. Analyzing the the ruby code of the gitorious project I found that it was looking for the admin? function and that where I started to look into the memberships. After digging the code for a while and then switch to analyze the DB I found that the owner type was group but was pointing to the wrong group ID and updated the group ID and now it is working fine and I got back my "Add repository" for the hole group. [gitorious] Gitorious Menu with permissions issue
Hi, We installed our local copy of Gitorious and everything goes great, except that we changed ownership of a project that had one repository inside it to a team. So we had project test having repository testrepo inside it and then we change the ownership of this project from the creator to the group. Now when we try to access the project page the only option we have is the option to open the wiki on the right sidebar. It is missing Add repository and I need to add a new repo under this porject which permissions I am missing to get these options back. I am administrator and I can't see them. But the thing is that there is an owner on this project. thank you! the long log is : NoMethodError (undefined method `owner' for nil:NilClass): lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:43:in `can_read_protected_content?' lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:30:in `can_read_project?' lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:71:in `can_read_event?' lib/gitorious/authorization/typed_authorization.rb:38:in `send' lib/gitorious/authorization/typed_authorization.rb:38:in `delegate_on_type' lib/gitorious/authorization/typed_authorization.rb:23:in `can_read?' lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:191:in `filter_authorized' lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:191:in `select' lib/gitorious/authorization/database_authorization.rb:191:in `filter_authorized' lib/gitorious/authorization.rb:101:in `send' lib/gitorious/authorization.rb:101:in `delegate_with_default' lib/gitorious/authorization.rb:99:in `each' lib/gitorious/authorization.rb:99:in `delegate_with_default' lib/gitorious/authorization.rb:84:in `filter_authorized' app/controllers/application_controller.rb:426:in `filter' app/controllers/site_controller.rb:73:in `render_public_timeline' app/controllers/site_controller.rb:106:in `render_global_index' app/controllers/site_controller.rb:35:in `index' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:1331:in `send' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:1331:in `perform_action_without_filters' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/filters.rb:617:in `call_filters' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/filters.rb:610:in `perform_action_without_benchmark' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/benchmarking.rb:68:in `perform_action_without_rescue' vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/core_ext/benchmark.rb:17:in `ms' /opt/ruby-enterprise-1.8.7-2012.02/lib/ruby/1.8/benchmark.rb:308:in `realtime' vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/core_ext/benchmark.rb:17:in `ms' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/benchmarking.rb:68:in `perform_action_without_rescue' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/rescue.rb:160:in `perform_action_without_flash' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/flash.rb:146:in `perform_action' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:532:in `send' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:532:in `process_without_filters' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/filters.rb:606:in `process' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:391:in `process' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/base.rb:386:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/routing/route_set.rb:437:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/dispatcher.rb:87:in `dispatch' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/dispatcher.rb:121:in `_call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/dispatcher.rb:130:in `build_middleware_stack' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/query_cache.rb:29:in `call' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/query_cache.rb:29:in `call' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/abstract/query_cache.rb:34:in `cache' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/query_cache.rb:9:in `cache' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/query_cache.rb:28:in `call' vendor/rails/activerecord/lib/active_record/connection_adapters/abstract/connection_pool.rb:361:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/string_coercion.rb:25:in `call' rack (1.0.1) lib/rack/head.rb:9:in `call' rack (1.0.1) lib/rack/methodoverride.rb:24:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/params_parser.rb:15:in `call' vendor/rails/railties/lib/rails/rack/metal.rb:47:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/session/cookie_store.rb:93:in `call' vendor/rails/activesupport/lib/active_support/cache/strategy/local_cache.rb:24:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/failsafe.rb:26:in `call' rack (1.0.1) lib/rack/lock.rb:11:in `call' rack (1.0.1) lib/rack/lock.rb:11:in `synchronize' rack (1.0.1) lib/rack/lock.rb:11:in `call' vendor/rails/actionpack/lib/action_controller/dispatcher.rb:106:in `call' /opt/ruby-enterprise/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-3.0.12/lib/phusion_passenger/rack/request_handler.rb:96:in `process_request' /opt/ruby-enterprise/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/passenger-3.0.12/lib/phusion_passenger/abstract_request_handle
