Details:

lot of warnings appear on the build. the warnings should be fixed and -Werror
should be put into CFLAGS in configure.ac

Follow-up Comment #1, bug #17308 (project gluster):

*gcc seems to be very strict about function prototypes and for fuctions
returning 'long long int' and using the return value as a pointer gives
'warning: cast to pointer from integer of different size'.
