1) The link substitution will work for all mentions of #n or
something/something#n. I may not be catching all the cases of something in the
regex, but I should catch the practical ones for us. I does not force you to
write Fixes: #n or Updates: #n. That can be enforced separately
(git-branch-and-bug job?)

2) This is now done. See https://review.gluster.org/#/c/16901/

3) I've copied the config over to glustefs-specs too.

4) I don't think this is the right layer to enforce it. This is just doing a
regex match and linking for convenience. Can't do much enforcing here.

[Gluster-infra] Request for right permission levels on gluster-block github project

2017-03-20 Thread Prasanna Kalever
Hi Infra-team,

As we choose github/issues as the board for bugs and other upstream
release tracking, I request for permissions on
https://github.com/gluster/gluster-block for activities like
assigning, creating labels on issues and tagging a release and other
set of access that a maintainer should get.

Can someone please help with it ?

Thanks,

I see this very frequently - what can be done to ensure that filing a
RHBZ is the first step towards a request?

[Gluster-infra] Centos CI and Gerrit clone issues

2017-03-20 Thread Nigel Babu
Hello folks,

This is email is only relevant if your project runs builds on CentOS CI and
clones from the Gluster Gerrit instance.

There's a networking issue that's re-emerged after the migration. I've brought
it up with the Networking folks and the CentOS folks. I'm hoping it will be
fixed later today. In the meanwhile, your builds with fail.

Apologies for not spotting this sooner.

I've put all 3 of you in a gluster-block team and have granted the team admin
privileges to the repo. You should be set now.

Please make sure you do not push any changes to Github accidentally. I *think*
Gerrit replication will overwrite any changes.

We can start to ask to people why they use the list rather bugzilla. It
could be lack of clarity on our part, or that bugzilla is too
cumbersome.

[Gluster-infra] [Bug 1434068] New: Need to fix BZ perms for external contributors

2017-03-20 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1434068

Bug ID: 1434068
Summary: Need to fix BZ perms for external contributors
   Product: GlusterFS
   Version: mainline
 Component: project-infrastructure
  Assignee: b...@gluster.org
  Reporter: j...@pl.atyp.us
CC: b...@gluster.org, gluster-infra@gluster.org

After filing bug 1434062, I went to assign it to myself as I normally would.
Apparently, since I'm no longer a Red Hat employee, I can't assign bugs (even
to myself) or set their status other than to NEW/CLOSED. This needs to be
fixed not only for myself but in general so that external contributors can
actually follow the process Red Hat has mandated that they follow.

+1. Choosing the right component is of-course not straight for filing
a bug for the first time in any new area (though
project-infrastructure is very opt & meaningful)

In my case, I was not sure whether "asking for access on something"
(for self only) really needs a bug ? (thought, talking to right one
on infra list will solve my problem and this is simple than RHBZ)

My be I'm wrong, but this is all my personal opinion.

I should agree, its always better to have a tracker (may be in RHBZ or
somewhere else) but for tasks which might not take much time, I
sometimes feel process is an overhead :p

Thanks,

[Gluster-infra] [Bug 1434234] New: [gerrit] rearranging flags at default dashboard in the sequence - S, V, NR, CR and RV

2017-03-20 Thread bugzilla
https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1434234

Bug ID: 1434234
Summary: [gerrit] rearranging flags at default dashboard in the
sequence - S, V, NR, CR and RV
   Product: GlusterFS
   Version: mainline
 Component: project-infrastructure
  Assignee: b...@gluster.org
  Reporter: mchan...@redhat.com
CC: b...@gluster.org, gluster-infra@gluster.org

Description of problem:
Flags at the default dashboard seem randomly arranged.

Expected results:
Rearranging the flags at the default dashboard would help show progression of
activities from left to right. So the flags could be rearranged from left to
right as: S (smoke), V (verified), NR (netbsd-regression), CR
(centos-regression) and RV (code-review). Having CR for code-review as well
causes confusion.
