[Gluster-users] Feedback on arbiter volume usage

2016-09-08 Thread Ravishankar N

Hi,

I'm just sending this mail to gather feedback from folks who have tried/
used arbiter volumes [1].

- Did you face problems with set-up/ usage?
- If you were using replica-2 before and moved to arbiter to avoid
split-brains, was the goal met? (It should have been :-) ).
- What brick size for the arbiter brick and placement strategies did you
try out? Did you use a single low spec machine for all arbiter bricks?
Or did you co-locate it on other nodes which host data bricks?

- Any other inputs that you might have.

Thanks,
Ravi

Great. How long have you been using this configuration, and how rdma
performance stands ?

Can you give me the mount logs from client (default logs :
/var/log/glusterfs/mount-point-direcoty-name.log) and quotad, bricks logs.
