yeah guess that was a bit melodramatic.  But i do feel like people have 
stopped asking others questions so much online or have moved to other 
platforms (looking at this page, I see lots of questions but few answers 
... https://webapps.stackexchange.com/questions/tagged/gmail).  Not sure 
where true aficionado's who want to understand ever nook and cranny of 
software they use go these days... I feel like maybe there are less of 
those people in general as computers and the web have completely enervated 
the market.  I personally don't know where else to go for questions like 
this kind of obscure one I've had for years: "I use the spacebar to page 
down in the message list but when i need to select a message with the 
keyboard, it always jumps back up to the last message i read"

big queue of unanswered questions.

In that sense, I would not call it 'sad'.  But of course the reality is
that those who do have questions, might not know that there is a place here
where they could be asking them.  C'est la vie, neither good nor bad nor
sad (except for the nostalgic).

Yeah, this and other groups activity just died down.  This group is 
technically moderated, but lots of people are pre-approved, like Marko 
having demonstrated regular usage back when it was fairly active.  Newer 
members may get held for moderation, and some members got banned.  Some of 
the group owners even disappeared.
