[Gnoga-list] Tests on Simple_Component's version of Gnoga
I just wanted to report that with a few updates to the components and stability additions over the last few days all my tests pass and seeing even more stability now than the previous AWS versions. I've been working to send Dmitry logs, etc. on one issue that doesn't affect us since Gnoga is better optimized with large buffers for websocket frames, but that is also being worked on. The new Gnoga connection buffering code has been modified to insure that buffers if used are flushed before overfilling the websocket buffer size so this issue should not affect anyone unless they are sending 200k+ strings :) The switch has been an overall good one for Gnoga technically not just making the builds simpler and increasing the platforms that support Gnoga now. There are three issues only the first is a priority currently left, I will starting again on getting Gnoga ready for 1.0 once the first issue is resolved and also start work on the Visual IDE. Outstanding issues: 1. make install does not install the simple_component parts of Gnoga 2. form method PUT not supported (on the receiving end) 3. form upload of files 2 and 3 are supported by Simple_Components just that they work in a different way than was handled by AWS so I need to take a few to decided how to reimplement. Overall they will also both be an improvement and more secure for sure. Please make sure to let me know any issues you may encounter. I'm very excited about the new changes and overjoyed and the incredible speed using Buffer_Connection when used around large section of building the UI. Re: [Gnoga-list] Tests on Simple_Component's version of Gnoga
I probably like you am pretty amazed with such a massive bit of surgery that everything still works fine! I have not speed tested it on a Pi (raspberry not banana) yet, but I will do!. My only difficulty is that I was already using Dmitrys components, in my project. So actually thats two dependecys removed for me! Re: [Gnoga-list] www.gnoga.com displays blank page in Chrome, IE and Firefox
Yes, it worked before. Yes, I am behind the firewall at work. But, the problem occurs at my house, too. Clearing all cache did not help. In addition, same problem occurred when opening boot.html from the source code. If you clear the cache and refresh does it work? If you look at the source code do you see the boot.html file? The Gnoga site is itself an experiment :) BTW, now that I am using Simple_Components I have a few new options for fallback, I am going to be looking at having Gnoga when used for web sites being able to fall back to a non closing http connection and ajax back for events when websockets won't connect do to firewalls. It's not super high priority but I'll get to that soon also. Thanks!
