Are you sure that you're compiling the appropriate version of the po file? Maybe you've downloaded gnome-applets po file for Gnome 2.12 and trying them on Gnome 2.10? This things happen... :\ -Arangel ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

Greek Polytonic and GTK+ IM problems
I try to get GTK+ IM (native) to type Greek Polytonic and I have some problems. The way I do it is to add to http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gtk%2B/gtk/gtkimcontextsimple.c?view=markup in the static const guint16 gtk_compose_seqs[] {} the following: GDK_dead_horn,GDK_Greek_alpha,0, 0, 0, 0x1f00, GDK_dead_horn,GDK_Greek_epsilon, 0, 0, 0, 0x1f10, GDK_Multi_key,GDK_greater,GDK_Greek_alpha, 0, 0, 0x1f00, GDK_Multi_key,GDK_greater,GDK_Greek_epsilon, 0, 0, 0x1f10 (The above are an example to allow typing just two letters: ἀ and ἐ). I compile gtk+ 2.7.0 (cvs), install, test but I do not get the above characters. Any hints on what to do to get this working? About and Help are definately things you should never have to translated more than once (I dont enjoy localistion so much that I would want to do exactly the same translation work over and over again) and if you see them there are bigger problems that need to be addressed. - Alan H. ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
i18n changes in gdu
So I've made some pretty massively substantial changes to how i18n is done inside of gnome-doc-utils. Some of the basic ideas behind things are the same, but most of the details have changed. The new stuff is based on my experience with my earlier attempts, and I'm pretty confident it will alleviate most of the problems I had. This means translators will have to read the updated translator documentation, and will have to update their translations. Since translators weren't fond of having to build the full documentation for the stylesheets just to view the translator documentation, I've converted that section to HTML and put it into CVS. I'll update the HTML copy in CVS every time the DocBook source file changes. I hope this makes things easier for translators. The documentation file is TRANSLATORS.xhtml. It's in the root of the gnome-doc-utils source tree. Alternately, you can see it in viewcvs: http://cvs.gnome.org/viewcvs/gnome-doc-utils/TRANSLATORS.xhtml Just download the latest and hand it to Epiphany. Danilo was kind enough to look over the translator documentaion I wrote and make some suggestions on how to make it clearer to translators. Unfortunately, I haven't implemented any of his suggestions. Since feature freeze is tomorrow, I wanted to get this into CVS. I hope to improve the documentation over time. Until then, please feel free to ask questions. But keep it on the lists. My inbox is a black hole. -- Shaun ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
