Hi all,

Added a string to Totem last night: "Portuguese".

Thank you very much indeed. Still I hope that official GNOME will move
en bloc to a different source control system.

We have a very long-standing policy that modules in our
release set must be hosted in Gnome Subversion. Before
Subversion, we had a very long-standing policy that they
must be in Gnome CVS.

Yes, maintainers are the ultimate decision makers with
respect to their modules, but we do place restrictions
on them if they want their modules to be a part of Gnome.
They have to follow our schedule and respect our freezes.
They have to use the same version control system and bug
tracker as the rest of us.

Ultimately, of course, anybody has the right to take their
project (or somebody else's) and put it in whatever version
control system they want. But what's included in the Gnome
release is what comes out of Gnome SVN.

And, mind you, this is being sent from somebody who is very
much looking forward to Gnome using Git.

Clearly, Jon can do whatever he wants with gnome-screensaver. Its his
code, and he is the maintainer. If that means translators have a some
difficulties, and gnome-screensaver may be less perfectly translated

I wasn't aware; actually I asked Owen just today about gnome-shell
commit messages to svn-commits-list@ and he said he wanted to improve
them; it was fine for me considering gnome-shell as a testing ground
for the unannounced and undecided (but inevitable) git migration.

Not even sure it counts as a UI break, really. It could break the docs
(if they were up-to-date for that tab) and definitely breaks the
strings, but UI wise, I'm not sure it counts as a break.

UI freeze break request: incoming muc invitation in Empathy

2009-02-10 Thread Guillaume Desmottes
Hi guys,

We'd like to merge a branch [1] implementing incoming multi users chat
invitation support in Empathy [2].

This branch adds a blinking icon in the notification area when user
receives a muc invitation and a small dialog asking if he wants to
accept or deny the invitation.
Only 4 simples strings are added (including 2 trivial ones: "Join" and
"Decline").
See [3] for the diff on master.

I think that's important to have this merged as new Empathy can now send
muc invitations and it would be silly to silently ignore incoming ones.

Thanks,

G.

There is no reason to remove the account (it's also undesirable since it
would break the database I think). You can just disable all e-mail
notifications, and no longer use Bugzilla.

However, I think what Abel Cheung meant is that the permissions for the
zh_TW/zh_HK components of the l10n project in Bugzilla need to be
transferred to the new team coordinator.

Don't know about the other release team members, but I wasn't aware of
this.

At this moment, it's not an option for any official GNOME module to move
to git: this totally breaks the workflow of at least translators, just
before 2.26.0. I'm pretty sure we didn't complete all tasks required for
such a migration to happen (eg, do we have correct documentation?).

So, please revert this migration for gnome-screensaver.

cc'ing gnome-infrastructure so that similar migrations for official
GNOME modules are blocked.
(fwiw, it's fine to have other modules like gnome-shell in git)

Change of zh_TW / zh_HK team coordinator

2009-02-10 Thread Abel Cheung
Hi,

As title, I'm no more the coordinator of traditional Chinese team.
Actually this is already the de facto situation several releases ago,
when Chao-Hsiung Liao is handling all the translation commits, and I
don't have any svn access since the last SSL cert fiasco. So it would
be desirable to transfer all my access rights to him, and all public
team information accordingly as well. Right now I can only raise his
rights to "committer".

So the actual changes include:

Chao-Hsiung Liao (svn user name: chliao) -->
* change to coordinator, in both Damned Lies and public team info page
* bugzilla zh_TW/zh_HK component default email changed to his address
* email addresses in existing bugs as well

Abel Cheung (svn user name: baddog) -->
* disable subversion account (already the case)
* remove bugzilla account

Many thanks to whoever handling all the changes.

NetworkManager translation in git

Hi all,

due to the NetworkManagerthe migration to git, I submitted its Catalan
translation there, where it was promptly comitted [1].

However, I see that since then, the statistics [2] have not yet been

Hence my question: is there any additional work required (from the
