some translation errors in gconf schemas

2009-02-15 Thread Matthias Clasen
I recently had the occasion to do some research into the use of
localized default values in gconf schemas. While doing that, I noticed
that there are some problems when the translations have to follow
certain restrictions (even though there are
translator comments in all the cases I list below).

I've filed a number of bugs about this:

Hi Philippe,

http://live.gnome.org/TwoPointTwentyfive states that "Freezes begin by
23:59 UTC on the Monday specified", so you don't need any
request/approval just now, I think. You have still a few hours. :)

Brasero string freeze break

2009-02-15 Thread Philippe Rouquier
Hi all,

Someone spotted another regression from ncb to brasero. When brasero was
spawned from nautilus (and only then) there was a missing widget to set
the volume name. So I add to add a new string above an entry in burn
option dialog, it looks like this:

Disc name: (<= the new string in bold)
[Entry]

Diff for the change:
http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/brasero?view=revision&revision=1919

Bug:
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571776

Sorry about that. And thanks all for your work.

This is annoying indeed. You might want to CC yourself/comment on either of
these bugs:

  Metacity bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=122640
  Libwnck bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=564626

I'd very much like see this fixed as well.

libwnck, metacity and window actions

2009-02-15 Thread Jorge González González
Hi,

some time ago several actions were added to the window behaviour,
"Unmaximize" and "Unminimize", in several translation teams we used to
translate it "Restore", although some teams translate both as "Restore",
we have a problem pointed out long ago:
http://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2004-February/msg00173.html

We still have this issue, we can have both actions at the same time, is
it gonna be fixed? is there any workaround?

Cheers.

Good point, done.

Thanks Marcel.

I think so. At first, I thought this question might be too obvious to
request for a translation comment. But it turns out to be not true.

So, I've just filed bug #571808 for the request.

Thanks,
