some translation errors in gconf schemas
I recently had the occasion to do some research into the use of localized default values in gconf schemas. While doing that, I noticed that there are some problems when the translations have to follow certain restrictions (even though there are translator comments in all the cases I list below). I've filed a number of bugs about this: nautilus, /schemas/apps/nautilus/preferences/desktop_font bn http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571896 dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571897 mr http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571898 ne http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571899 gedit, /schemas/apps/gedit-2/preferences/editor/font/editor_font dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571903 eu http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571904 hi http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571905 kn http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571907 mai http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571908 ml http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571909 mr http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571910 ms http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571911 ne http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571912 pa http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571913 ro http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571914 ta http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571915 te http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571916 xh http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571917 gedit, /schemas/apps/gedit-2/preferences/encodings/auto_detected dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571920 gedit, /schemas/apps/gedit-2/preferences/encodings/shown_in_menu dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571921 or http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571922 gnome-terminal, /schemas/apps/gnome-terminal/global/active_encodings dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571923 kn http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571924 mr http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571925 te http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571926 totem, /schemas/apps/totem/subtitle_encoding dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571927 clock applet, /schemas/apps/clock_applet/prefs/format be http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571929 br http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571930 dz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571931 gl http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571932 hy http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571933 ig http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571934 kn http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571935 ku http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571936 mai http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571937 mg http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571938 ml http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571939 mn http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571940 ne http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571941 ps http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571942 si http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571943 sl http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571944 uz http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571945 u...@cyrillic http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571946 Enjoy, Matthias ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

Brasero string freeze break
Hi all, Someone spotted another regression from ncb to brasero. When brasero was spawned from nautilus (and only then) there was a missing widget to set the volume name. So I add to add a new string above an entry in burn option dialog, it looks like this: Disc name: (<= the new string in bold) [Entry] Diff for the change: http://svn.gnome.org/viewvc/brasero?view=revision&revision=1919 Bug: http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571776 Sorry about that. And thanks all for your work. Philippe ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

libwnck, metacity and window actions
Hi, some time ago several actions were added to the window behaviour, "Unmaximize" and "Unminimize", in several translation teams we used to translate it "Restore", although some teams translate both as "Restore", we have a problem pointed out long ago: http://mail.gnome.org/archives/desktop-devel-list/2004-February/msg00173.html > *Have a window in Original State, Maximize it first and Minimize it > next. > > *Now right click on the Iconized window. But the next right click shows UnMinimize and Maximize. > > *Now click Maximize, Nothing shows up on the window, except the Next > right click shows UnMinimize and UnMaximize. > > Isn't it a usability issue there? We still have this issue, we can have both actions at the same time, is it gonna be fixed? is there any workaround?
