This module have moved to git.gnome.org. I updated l10n.gnome.org, but
as Ilkka told us, the pot file is no more buildable.

David, I know you're currently rewriting PolicyKit. What version of
policykit-gnome will be released in distros the following months? Would
it be possible to have some sort of "stable" branch so as translators
could commit translations?

Hi all,

Three months after my request I didn't receive SVN access or message denying
it. So this is what I plan to do in order to contribute with a full galician
translation of 2.26:

- Freezing translated strings of all modules
- Validating all translated strings
- Uploading validated strings
- Asking for SVN inclussion
- Asking again for SVN access

If there is any objection or concern to this process, please tell me.

Best regards,

String additions to 'brasero.HEAD'

2009-03-10 Thread GNOME Status Pages
This is an automatic notification from status generation scripts on:
http://l10n.gnome.org.

There have been following string additions to module 'brasero.HEAD':

+ "CD/DVD Creator"

Note that this doesn't directly indicate a string freeze break, but it
might be worth investigating.

Oh, while we're at it: why does the last column on the language overview
page on l10n.gnome.org only show "translating" or "translated" states?
Nothing is shown if a translation was uploaded without claiming that
translation first. This has already led to some duplicate work since it was
not obvious someone else had already made a start for a module and uploaded
that to damned-lies, without claiming that module for translation.

Well, we are now in hard code freeze[1], so deciding about this is the
job of release-team.

Release team: is it ok to fix this:

Actually, the code is already committed as:

This is not code, so it's not frozen by the hard code freeze. However,
Luis, you should have first requested permission to break the string
freeze: please try to avoid committing a new string like this without
approval in the future :-)

It's up to the translation team to decide what to do at this point.

FWIW, and it's just a personal opinion, I'm unsure whether breaking the
freeze for this is worth the trouble. But I can understand the argument
about "compatibility with old user habits".

+1 from me, since 'no regression wrt to ncb' was one of the
conditions under which the brasero switch was accepted.

Also, this is not really a new string, and it should be easily
scriptable to copy its translations from n-c-b to brasero, if that was
wanted.

I would like to request a string freeze change for GNOME 2.26.

Note that if you do not have PulseAudio, that it is now impossible
to configure Sound Themes. This is because the new Sound Theme
configuration has been moved to the new PulseAudio-only
gnome-volume-control. When not using PulseAudio, gst-mixer is
used, which does not have any configuration for Sound Themes.

The patch in this bug fixes the gnome-media module so that gst-mixer
also shares the same code that the new gnome-volume-control uses to
configure the Sound Theme.

http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=570736

It adds a new tab to gst-mixer which needs a label "Sound Theme".
This is the only new string that requires translation to fix this
issue.

I think it is important to not lose the ability to configure
sound themes when not using PulseAudio. Can I get approval for
this change?
