Re: Editing new website

2010-02-13 Thread Milo Casagrande
Hi,

2010/2/12 Lucas Rocha luc...@gnome.org:
 Hi all,

So, here are instructions to edit content in http://website-editors.gnome.org.

I'm replying to this message, since I don't know exactly where to ask
what I'm going to ask.

What about i18n/l10n of the website? (I'm CCing gnome-i18n list)
Can translators have access to the website to translate the content or
will it be done via a normal PO file?

I see there's a little Also available in section with different languages.

Ciao.

Ni Milo,

It will be available via regular PO files. I'm not sure what the status
is, as I think a hook had to be written, but that was the orgiinal plan.

First off, this is undoubtedly a great design improvement when compared to
the present state. From a quick look however, I think the language selection
should be positioned in a more prominent place on the website. I somehow
doubt that user will search for it at the bottom of the page.

OK, that's my ten hellers anyway. :-)

String freeze for gbrainy 1.4

2010-02-13 Thread Jordi Mas

Hello,

I have just frozen the strings for gbrainy version 1.4. Only bug fixes
will be committed from now.

If you want to update your translations you have until the 24th of
February 2010 at midnight. If you are working or planing to work on
updating your translations, please send me your work before then. I
suggest to check the recommendations[1] when updating gbrainy translations.

Additionally, this version has much better support for RTL languages. If
you speak a language represented from RTL and you have time please
contact me for assisting me in QA.

You have translation status at:
http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gbrainy

And the project page at:
http://live.gnome.org/gbrainy

Regards,

String changes in glade

2010-02-13 Thread Gabor Kelemen

Hi

Fixing bugs https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=581167 and
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=571464 resulted in some
new/fuzzy strings in glade. One patch is still pending, I hope that can
be pushed soon too.

Re: Damned lies and external workflow

 Hi!

Would it be possible to disable uploads for language teams and instead
show a notification saying This team is using external
application/workflow for translating GNOME. See blablabla for details..

This is the case at least for Estonian language, where our translators
have internal SVN accounts for translations and reviews. Now the
problem is that there are sometimes new users popping up who translate
something and upload it to l10n.gnome.org (where it might be missed) :S

Hi,

I just added two new editable fields for teams:
* a flag to specifiy if the team is using the Vertimus workflow (on by
default). You can disable this setting and the form to comment/upload
translations will not be displayed.
* a free text field (markdown syntax) for the team coordinator to add
any useful information which will be displayed on the team main page.

These settings can be edited by coordinators by clicking on the pen icon
just beside the Details title.

Cheers,

Claude

Please help on bug: providing a sensible tooltip for developers in Glade

2010-02-13 Thread Gabor Kelemen

Hi all

I'd like to hear your opinions about this bug:
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=609872

The problem is that Glade's Edit Text dialog does not explain what is a
context and a comment really for. I think it would be benefical to
provide sensible tooltips for these fields, to explain which field is
what for. However, my proposals (let alone my engrish ;)) may not be the
best, so please comment on the bug above.

Thanks
Gabor Kelemen
