Re: Testing help files

2010-04-03 Thread Matej Urban
Hello,
this thing is not over :)

While translating balso, there seems to be another similar problem.
There is no balsa.xml, because there is no /usr/share/gnome/help/balsa
folder.

There is also a problem with gbrainy. There are no .xml files to
translate except legal.xml

What's the story with these two and why is so complicated to figure
out how to translate help?

Thanks
Matej

broken ka.po on gnome-utils

2010-04-03 Thread Emmanuele Bassi
hi;

currently, the ka.po translation file is preventing me from branching
gnome-utils for 2.30.

looking at the file, the Last-Translator email address is clearly wrong
(I doubt Vladimer Sichinava has the ali...@siena.linux.it email
address), so I'm using the Group email.

since the file is clearly out of date, I've just disabled it; the team
should re-enable it in the LINGUAS file after fixing the po file.

ciao,
 Emmanuele.

There is no balsa.xml, because there is no /usr/share/gnome/help/balsa

balsa is using an SGML file, so that could be related to the problem,
even if I don't really get what is the problem in this case.
Looks like the POT file is created anyway:
http://l10n.gnome.org/module/balsa/

There is also a problem with gbrainy. There are no .xml files to
 translate except legal.xml

gbrainy is using Mallard for its help, and file extensions in that
case is .page.
But even this one is translatable:
http://l10n.gnome.org/module/gbrainy/

You can easily get the PO files you need from l10n.gnome.org, or I
didn't get the problem...

Ciao.

Hi.

I just branched Accerciser so we could do some interesting stuff in
trunk for the upcoming release.

The stable branch is now on gnome-2-30.

Cheers,

Banshee branched for 1.6.1: stable-1.6 branch

2010-04-03 Thread Gabriel Burt
Hey translators!

We have created a stable-1.6 branch that we'll release 1.6.1 from at
the end of April. It should remain string frozen, so feel free to
translate it. Active development for 1.7/1.8 will be taking place in
master.

Thanks!

OK! Let me rephrase!

Gbrainy and balsa help is translated. HOW do I test the translations?
WHERE do I pot, WHAT file. I have no idea how to make this work! I was
expacting balsa.help.mo or and gbrainy.help.mo or something ...

Thanks,
M!
