Add two additional strings in Anjuta 2.31

2010-07-17 Thread Sébastien Granjoux

Hi,

I have added two additional translatable strings in
plugins/debug-manager/plugin.c:

"Continue/Suspend"
"Continue or suspend the execution of the program"

Andre, I absolutely agree with you that this one is not going anywhere
and the thread should end here. I have to beg your pardon for posting
this completely off topic message, but I cannot stand the ongoing FUD.
No more posting from me, I promise! :)

It seems to be FUD again. I do not remember saying this, so I did a bit
of searching to clarify the matter.

It is very explicit that the original reply[1] rejecting Tomas'
self-application[2] had very different behind it. It cannot get any
clearer than this.

It is a shame we have this quarrel over such a nonsense, literally. One
could have spent the time wasted for translating a package or two
instead.

This means an objective discussion is not possible anyway.
As your current mental state is not good I propose you take a break.

> You missed the part where I wanted to become team coordinator n years ago

We won't discuss things (and maybe hurt ego) that happened years ago.

Also I haven't seen any new arguments lately, hence END OF DISCUSSION
PLEASE, as this thread recently is merely wasting everyone's time and
energy.

Don't judge if you don't want to be judged yourself.

Your work was not modified against your wishes and you still don't realize
my current mental state. It is easy to blame other person for not being
polite, if you ignore the fact that person is already outraged after
actions of people you are trying to defend and your response only adds
more fuel to raging person.

You missed the part where I wanted to become team coordinator n years ago
and was ditched by Ž.Beručka because he though that I am not active
translator and ignored the part that my lack of activeness was caused by
his actions as Gnome translator and lack of his actions as translation
team coordinator.

String change in nautilus

2010-07-17 Thread Cosimo Cecchi
Hi,

I changed a string in Nautilus to refer to version 3.0; it was
referencing version 2.32 before.

"Nautilus 2.32 deprecated this directory and tried migrating this
configuration to ~/.config/nautilus"

Re: modifications in Lithuanian gnumeric translation (Tomas Kuliavas)

2010-07-17 Thread Duarte Loreto

Tomas,

There are a couple of things it seems you fail to understand.

1) Participation in GNOME Translation Project is not "democratic". Each
language coordinator sets his team rules. He may try to make it "democratic",
but translation coordinator word IS the final word. If you're not happy with
that, you don't need to contribute. You can try to make it change in local
lists, but defying a team coordinator's authority on GNOME coordinators list
will not get you friends nor support;
2) LT's coordinator has done nothing wrong. He can decide wording and
terminology, he can change submitted translations without having approval of
translator (it's called "revision process") and he even was fast reviewing the
translation;
3) Besides not accepting coordinator authority, you have disrespected the GTP
top people pointing you to the Code of Conduct, that you fail to abide;
4) Regarding terminology, in 1995 you could try to "force" a term. In 2010,
some terms are so widely used (most of the time derived from the english term)
that if you try to use a supposedly "correct" term (from an academic point of
view) no regular user will understand it and, in the end, that will be a
disservice to the Lithuanian people.

So, if you believe you have grounds to request a coordinator change and try to
make a takeover on the team, present those reasons. Do note that I don't see
any reason for you to do so and you would surely lose that attempt...
Otherwise, please stop being rude and writing to this list about this issue.
It's disrespectful, it's going around in circles and will not get you anywhere.

1) cheese was branched as requested by Claude.
2) In cheese master branch we added some new strings.

Hello Daniel,

As there is still no gnome-2-30 branch for Cheese, your latest commits
broke string freeze.
May I ask you to branch before those commits?
