String additions to 'gnome-utils.master'

2011-03-17 Thread GNOME Status Pages
This is an automatic notification from status generation scripts on:
http://l10n.gnome.org.

There have been following string additions to module 'gnome-utils.master':

+ "Include ICC Profile"
+ "Include the ICC profile of the target in the screenshot file"

Note that this doesn't directly indicate a string freeze break, but it
might be worth investigating.

This was introduced to fix the GNOME 3.0 blocker bug
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=642497 in
http://git.gnome.org/browse/gnome-session/commit/?id=9a4ff4b674fb7b63fd361eeedd4925ad84c67686

Is the string clear enough?
It refers to a non-responsive module/application.

In case it's problematic for a language it might also be translated to
the noun "Timeout".

[On a related note, the "Timeout" string also exists in ekiga,
gnome-control-center, zenity and gnome-vfs in case you feel like seeing
up to four different translations for your language. :-P
(Okay, okay, some of them DO have different meanings so they should not
be all the same, I admit.)]

String freeze break: Anjuta

2011-03-17 Thread Johannes Schmid
Hi!

To fix
https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=645049

I would need to add a string to anjuta:

/*
 * Translators: This regex should match the password prompts of
 * at least the "su" and the "sudo" command line utility in your
 * language and possible other things like "ssh".
 */
const gchar* i18n_regex = _("[Pp]assword.*:");

I know that regular expressions aren't nice to translate but it is
difficult to get right in any other way. It always tried the english and
the localized version of this expression to match password prompts.

I ask for a string-freeze break because otherwise installation as root
doesn't work for non-english users.

Johannes

Well, I proposed it over a year ago, and the patch went back and forth
a few times since then. If it's rejected, I'll just commit to master
post branch, although that seems like a shame.

the feature is not strictly user-visible; there's no UI change, and it
falls back neatly to the current state if there is no color manager or
no color profile available.

This string, and the one in glib 2.28, are here because they were
missing from POTFILES.

FYI, those two last breaks have been generated by missing files in
