Re: help with display of hebrew chr's in Gcompris

2011-08-15 Thread Bruno Coudoin

Jorge,

I tried to reproduce the problem today on master and Ubuntu 11.04. What
happens is that with all locales, at GCompris startup, especially when
run with the option --reread-menu I display the activity being loaded
and cached into our databased. In all languages the text is being
updated properly but in Hebrew, a couple of activity description is
displayed but not the others. Before with the same test we used to have
wrong characters being displayed. BTW, I just made a commit related to
this part of the code, gettext was called on already translated text, I
thought it could be the problem with Hebrew but is does not change
anything.

Jorge, by now, beside the intro screen not being updated for each
activity under load, could you point me to other issue in Hebrew, I
could not find some.

Bruno.

  Hi there,

Surely. It's probably a problem with crontab not running again. I've
  opened https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=656409 and launched
  the script manually just now.

Thanks, however I don't see any improvement in the stats. Both
accountsservice and shared-mime-info are 100% in Spanish but DL does
not show that. Is the po taken from other website/repositorie rather
 than transifex?

Yes, D-L is using the source repo of the package. That is what count
 eventually, isn't it?

Indeed, if the packaging system grabs the files straight from the
repo. Usually though things aren't so nice and it's really up to the
developer whether the repo file will be used.

It seems that the developer hasn't setup auto-updating of the POT file
from the repo.
