Of course, this is in the category "String previously not marked for translation", so it is valid. But I'm not sure I understand what you said: "xgettext will extract the string without it". Hi Claude, I actually pushed a gnome-3-2 branch together with the given commit, but received an error message doing so (bug 636088) which seems to cause the branch notification mail not being sent to i18n-list.
