I have translated file, but no place to push it.

 Why is that? Dunno. And that's why, in my opinion, my suggestion is a
 safer way, at the moment, to deliver correctly translated files for
 end-user.

 What name should I clone to pust this. Its not gtk+ and no
 alteration of gtk-ui works. Can someone solve this mistery?

Well, nothing, really. What's important is what's in git. If

it does at the moment, so no further updates are necessary.

Matej,

Basically, to make sure you have the UI of Gtk+ correctly translated, you
have to:

1- Have the source code from Git repo downloaded
git clone git://git.gnome.org/gtk+

2- Enter the folder where the UI is available
cd gtk+/po

3- Update the your PO file with the Internationalization Tool (e.g.: sl)
intltool-update sl

4- Translate it to 100% and submit to Damned Lies (trust in your newly
updated PO file, and not what D.L. says. As the D.L. could be using
out-dated POT as reference)

5- Push translations to GNOME repo.

Done.

Nice information you provided. Considering that the 'gtk+' module in D.L.

This was meant as a workaround for yet another damned-lies limitation,
namely that you can't put domains from the same module in different

 This is correct. It could be as easy as:

 Push English strings from git to Tx:

  $ git pull
  $ tx push --source

 Push translations from Tx to git:

  $ tx pull --lang pt_BR
  $ git commit

 If someone is coding it *right now*, sure, I will gladly review the
 patches, try to understand them and push them, but if that's just a wish
 list, the wish will probably have to wait...

 For what it's worth, the way we worked around it is to actually treat
 Transifex as the canonical place where translations leave instead of git.
 Like a VCS for translations on a string-level with many additional metadata
 Gettext does not support. Git just mirrors this (with automated commit
 scripts etc). This is also one of the biggest differences with the current
 GNOME workflow/setup. But, Gil is right, it is possible for specific teams
 which choose it.

 Hope this helps.
