That mention at the top is incorrect, but the page may need some updates
(e.g. bugzilla is not a thing anymore).

I don’t understand everything in the procedure for l10n team coordinator
changes on that page. The token thing doesn’t sound familiar. In my
experience, either the new coordinator or the current/previous one sends an
email to the gnome-i18n list with the other one in CC, and the other one
responds to confirm the change.

I also don’t understand why the list would have to know about an email
address change. If it’s about the address subscribed to the list, then
anyone should be able to update it on their own at mail.gnome.org. If it’s
about Damned iles, one can update it on their own as well.

Coordinator change

2022-05-25 Thread hannie
I sent the previous mail from my old email address. This is the one I
use now. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Hello,

As coordinator of the Gnome Dutch translation team I want to know if the
information on the following page
https://wiki.gnome.org/TranslationProject/CoordinationActions is still
valid.

On the page I see: /PLEASE NOTE: THIS TEAM DOES NOT EXIST ANYMORE.
INFORMATION ON THIS PAGE IS OUTDATED./

Is the procedure under the header Team Coordinator changes still valid?/

Understood. I'll try this way then. Thank you!

Every translation, be it UI, docs, websites, or screenshots, should go
through Damned Lies. This ensures quality and deduplication of work.
Remember that maintainers are not qualified to review the work of hundreds
of translators across tens of languages.

For screenshots specifically, Damned lies is not able to push directly to
the repo, but that doesn’t mean it should be bypassed. Instead, once the
proper process has been followed and the screenshot was approved, a team
coordinator can open the MR on Gitlab (and a message to remind the
maintainers that they are a coordinator, and DL cannot push this, is
welcome so the maintainer doesn’t get confused).

Ciao Davide

I've just added a comment to the MR:

Hi everyone,
I recently translated the Epiphany help pages, and there's a couple
of pictures in it that need to be localised. I was told to open a
merge request on Epiphany's GitLab repo, and so I did, but the devs
closed it saying that translation improvements via merge requests are
not to be accepted. I don't know what to do: I can't find anything on
the wiki pages of Translation Project, or other help pages, regarding
this matter. What's the suggested workflow here?

Cheers
