Yes, I mean the month names. They were written in Russian by Timur,
but we have our own Kyrgyz month names. And I want to fix this
mistake.

I am not sure what you mean by that.
Could you elaborate, or put it into other words?

I do not like the old translations of Timur, I want to translate alone.

 Hi Chingis,

Timur (CC'd) should be the one uploading them as he has a git account
and is also the coordinator for your language.

Try to make him either upload it, or add a comment, or a response to
this email saying that the translation is fine.

Note that as, at least me, don't know anything about your language, if
we upload any file we are asked for without the approval of anyone,
there could be mistakes, offensive language or things like that that no
kyrgyz speaker would like to see, thus we have the coordinator
 position :)

 Cheers,

Ok, but why so long Timur check my translation?
I sent him my translation 7 days ago.

On 7/24/12, Daniel Mustieles García daniel.mustie...@gmail.com wrote:
Well, all translation teams have a coordinator who reviews and approves
translations before uploading them. As Gil said, if your translation
contents offensive language, typos, etc, you'd be degradating GNOME's
quality. Maybe this is a very restrictive model for you, but this is not
the correct list to discuss about it. You should email your team
coordinator and explain him/her your point of view. if he/she considers
you're qualified to upload your own translations without any review, you
 could request git access.

Translations are a visible face of the software's quality... what would you
think about a great software, but with a horrible translation (and be sure
 it exists...)?

If you don't like the translations made by another people, you can change
them, but I recommend you to talk about it first with the original
translator (if he/she is still active in your team).

 Cheers

I don't know the specific reasons for this case, but keep in mind that
people also have reallife jobs that can be time-consuming, or are on
holidays sometimes, and need to spend some time reviewing the
translation first before committing it to GNOME's code repository.

If you have not heard back after two or three weeks, I would send a
friendly email to the language coordinator, asking if everything is fine
and if you could help in any kind of way to speed up the process a
 little bit.
