The current translation branch should still be 'trunk', because we
haven't broken API/ABI yet and thus every patch applied to trunk is
getting merged back to 0.7 (including translations). I'll certainly
update the translation branches when we do have relevant differences in
the future.

Thanks!

Additional NetworkManager branches to translate

2009-12-08 Thread Dan Williams
Hi,

I was wondering how I could get the stable branches of a few
NetworkManager bits into the translation queue. The projects and
branches are:

network-manager-applet: NETWORKMANAGER_APPLET_0_7
network-manager-vpnc: NETWORKMANAGER_0_7
network-manager-openvpn: NETWORKMANAGER_0_7
network-manager-pptp: NETWORKMANAGER_0_7
network-manager-openconnect: NETWORKMANAGER_0_7

there are a few string changes that go into stable branches from time to
time that would benefit from occasional translations. The main focus
should still be on 'master' of all these projects of course.

Many thanks!
Dan

Yeah, that's the best course to follow; in the mean time I've added the
translation to nm-applet, since there was no existing UR translation.

Thanks!

For the most part it's been replaced by gnome-shell's network indicator,
so at some point here we could actually demote it from the core module
list after one or two more small features are added to the shell's
network indicator. Though I suppose it's still shown in fallback mode,
but I don't know how much we're testing/supporting fallback mode these
days...

NetworkManager is not an official gnome module, so it shouldn't be
subject to the string freeze it just happens to live in gnome SVN.
network-manager-applet, on the other hand, should be subject to the
string freeze but I don't think that's changed anything i18n-like for a
while.

NETWORKMANAGER_0_6_0_RELEASE

should be the branch for 2.6.18.

Might be good to switch to trunk for a while at least; I'm going to go
back and do some 0.6 maintenance in a month or so, but I don't think
that will change strings at all.

The translations in trunk are pretty stale and there may be a lot of
stuff in the .po files that doesn't exist any more because a lot of code
was rewritten or rearranged.

Thanks!

New NetworkManager-related branches

2014-12-13 Thread Dan Williams
Hi,

I'd like to get the following branches added for i18n:

network-manager-vpnc: nm-1-0
network-manager-openvpn: nm-1-0
network-manager-pptp: nm-1-0
network-manager-openconnect: nm-1-0
network-manager-openswan: nm-1-0

This one is slightly different (note the "nma" not "nm"):

network-manager-applet: nma-1-0

And I forget how this works, because NetworkManager itself is hosted at
freedesktop.org git, but we still get translated PO files through GNOME
bugzilla and merge them ourselves:

NetworkManager: nm-1-0

Thanks!
