(Get revision from last review, align it with trunk and then compare in diff-tool like meld to review changes and fix errors, for example) Inside string freeze some modules branch early for release and commiters need to commit translation both to string-frozen branch and later to trunk (I like to do this immediately not to forget later). Once again, there is noting translation-specific inside. For large teams, it may prove (I'm just guessing, Serbian team is small) useful to have one repository for all PO files, grouped by language so translators, editors, commiters and coordinator can all work in a distributed environment without cloning everything else. This would in addition solve repository-size issue too, and those wanting sources can get them too. KDE is using this approach. L10N Guidelines for Developers
I moved Chris's great guidelines document at l.g.o wiki so it can be updated and expanded more easily. It's located at http://live.gnome.org/TranslationProject/DevGuidelines and it's chunked as section per page. I also managed to update all the links inside text and replace CVS with SVN. I added url redirection from old document to the new one so links are not broken. I moved some content from http://live.gnome.org/GnomeI18nDeveloperTips page to DevGuidelines sections. What's left on this page should be included into Malcolm's document on I18N GNOME applications. I don't know if it would be good to wikify Malcolm's document too or just update it and include it into library.gnome.org gudies... Hi Jovan,
For Serbian, full stop after a number makes it ordinal[1] so we are
using "." instead all sufixes except 1st and 2nd ("3. умножак", "5.
умножак" etc.)
For first we have just "умножак" and we are translating "2nd copy" as
"додатни умножак" (~additional copy).
Maybe you can do the same?
