String freeze break for gnome-settings-daemon

2009-02-23 Thread Jens Granseuer
Hi,

I'd like to fix bug 572807 [0].

Currently, g-s-d installs keyboard shortcuts that appear untranslated
(or rather, without any name at all) in the UI (Keyboard Shortcuts
dialog).

To fix that, we'd need to add three new GConf keys which would add
new strings for the descriptions and values. The bug has a patch
that I'd like to commit.

Thanks,
Jens

Re: gnome-control-center broke the string freeze

Hi,

looks like there is a new string for gnome-control-center, branch gnome
2.24.

Jens,
Your commit for rev. 9004 broke the string freeze of g-c-c. It seems to
be an important fix, but anyway, could you please formally ask for the
string freeze break explaining the importance of this?

Sorry, this mail got lost somewhere.

A bit after the fact now, but let me officially request a string freeze
break. Rationale is in bug #553762 [0]. Basically, the XRandR dialog
was crashing/aborting when XRandR 1.2 isn't available. The commit
in question dropped this behaviour so that we now display an error
message, reusing a previously (2.22.x) existing string so a number
of catalogs probably still have it.

Thanks,
Jens

Eh, I was about to send a notification mail, but it seems the

More string changes (sort of) in control-center

2007-02-04 Thread Jens Granseuer
Hi,

I just checked in a fix for bug #145346 (Untranslated key names in keybindings
capplet) [1].
As a result of this keysym labels in the keybindings capplet are now
translatable. These
labels come from GTK+, though, so this is just a heads up and no additional
actions from
translators should be required (unless the GTK+ part isn't translated yet, of
course).

Cheers,
Jens
