These seem to be from the .glade file, presumably from stock buttons. It might be a general glade problem. I see no way to force it not to make these strings translatable. I'm using glade-2 with Glom because glade-3 has a bug that prevents me from using it with Glom. Translation statistics for 2.20?
It doesn't look like Danilo is going to update the release notes with the expected translation statistics, so I have to try this myself. "Supported" means 80% or more of the UI strings must be translated. I'm going to assume that Indonesian, Albanian, and Romanian will get there this week. Release Notes screenshots
Please do try to keep the translated screenshots similar to the originals. I notice that some of you have quite complicated "hacker" screenshots on the front page. But it should really show a default desktop - with the default theme, default background, default panel applets, etc. The original is not completely default, but I didn't have time to fix it. Please don't let that encourage you to make screenshots that are even less default - remember that GNOME is meant to be easy and simple for new users. I'm really pleased to see how many translations are already done. BOSTON, Mass. - 20 June, 2005 - The 7th annual GNOME User and Developer European Conference (GUADEC) will bring software developers, as well as business, government and private users of free and open source software to Barcelona (Catalonia - Spain). The conference highlights the capabilities and direction of GNOME, the free software desktop and development environment for personal computers, workstations, and portable Internet devices. Topics will include development workshops, translation showcases, business models for free software development, GNOME in mobile devices, and discussions about the future of GNOME. GUADEC will be jointly organized by the GNOME Foundation, the Generalitat de Catalunya (Catalan Government), the Council of Barcelona, the Internet Global Congress (IGC) and the local free software community. The event takes place in combination with the IGC at Fira de Barcelona in June 2006, with the exact date yet to be announced. Not translating pango markup.
Is there any way to avoid the pango markup in .glade files from being marked as translatable?
