libgnomekbd branched for 2.22 Was: String additions to 'libgnomekbd.HEAD'
Sorry, I failed to inform you in time. Libgnomekbd yesterday branched for 2.22. Which effectively makes HEAD unfrozen. Cheers, Sergey ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

libgnomekbd branched for 2.28
Hi all The libgnomekbd module branched for 2.28. Sorry for the hassle with new strings that unintentionally slipped in - now they are in master only (I hope). Cheers, Sergey ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
Re: freeze break permission
Most probably, the string is already translated, I guess. But anyway, notifying GTP never hurts... xkeyboard-config: GNOME help for non-GNOME project needed, for GNOME3 release
Hi folks G-c-c and gnome-shell are using xkeyboard-config for displaying the variants and layouts. Formally, this is NOTGNOME - but that project defines some strings visible in GNOME GUI. There is agreement to make special xk-c release for GNOME3 around next Monday. There is massive work to be done by translators. I am kindly asking GNOME Translation Project to help Translation Project (that's where xk-c translations are managed). http://translationproject.org/domain/xkeyboard-config.html Thank you for your help, Sergey ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

Re[2]: freedesktop projects for GNOME 2.10
> What about projects like gstreamer and its plugins, libxklavier? Libxklavier is not translatable - there are no user-visible strings in it. But there is xkeyboard-config project, which, though it is not a part of gnome 2.10 - but supposedly a part of the future modular xorg release - need the i18n love. And it contains the strings which will be visible in the gnome-keyboard-properties (layout names, options etc). So since you asked about fd.o and i18n, I'd appreciate the help in the translation. It is available in the fd.o CVS, the repository xlibs, module xkbdesc. Cheers, Sergey ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
String freeze breakage: gnome-applets and libgnomekbd
Hi all There was one obsolete .schemas.in file in gnome-applets/gswitchit (these entries were not used in 2.18 anyway). Now the gconf data is updated and moved into libgnomekbd (where it is actually used). There are just 3 gconf entries and they are only visible in gconf-editor and such - so these are quite low priority strings. Sorry for the trouble. Re: String freeze breakage: gnome-applets and libgnomekbd

xkeyboard-config 1.1 is looking for updated translations
Hello, The xkeyboard-config project is about to make a release (1.1) in two weeks time (25.09). I would be grateful for fresh translations for its pot file: http://webcvs.freedesktop.org/xlibs/xkbdesc/po/xkeyboard-config.pot?revision=1.6 TIA, Sergey Udaltsov ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n
Re: xkeyboard-config 1.1 is looking for updated translations
Daniel, Thanks for spotting this. It is a serious issue. I did not receive notifications about that .po file. The last update about Swedish translation I got was 1.02.2007. I will check the domain for other missing translations as well. Translation of xkeyboard-config: TP
Hi people I kindly ask everyone who is translating xkeyboard-config submit .po files through the Translation Project (http://www.translationproject.org). It is the official translating team for xkeyboard-config project, and I would prefer not to accept translations aside it - that would create maintenance problems for both me and those nice guys. Re: xkeyboard-config 1.1 is looking for updated translations
Actually, you are right. I am just not sure what would be easiest way to do so. But I'll think of it. It seems the only way is manual scripting. Also, I am not sure about legal consequences. ISO codes is LGPL as far as I can see. Could I use it with X11-licensed xklavier-config? libgnomekbd branched for 2.20
Here is just to inform you that libgnomekbd is branched for 2.20. TWIMC, the 2.22 version is going to make indicator widget lightweight (no stupid dbus client-server any more, so a bit of fat would be taken off g-s-d). The price of that would be bumping requirement for libxklavier version - from 3.2 to 3.4 (to be released soon).
