My Dear Gnomes,

Sorry for the misdirected traffic. I had pinged Baurzhan about
finishing off 2 dozen words on the Kahzakh AbiWord PO (which Sugar
Labs hosts on our Pootle instance for collaborative purposes as we
also do for Gnash PO files.)

Baurzhan, I will upload your file to Pootle and one of the AbiWord
devs will commit to their repo.

Thank you. I can confirm that eog 2.32 (and evince 2,32) are still
in use in the latest OLPC builds for the XO-1.

eog-2.32.0-3.fc14.i686
evince-2.32.0-4.fc14.i686
evince-djvu-2.32.0-4.fc14.i686
evince-libs-2.32.0-4.fc14.i686

http://download.laptop.org/xo-1/os/official/latest/os883.packages.txt

Progress is being made in moving forward to re-basing on newer Fedora
versions, but we've got a substantial installed base (about 1 million
laptops) that are still based of f14 and earlier). As build baselines
change, I will maintain the OLPC release set accordingly.

This is a request to commit translation to the old stable version of GTK+ -

It is still used in Fedora 17, the currently supported version.

Commit request: gtk+ - gtk-2-24 - Interlingua

2013-04-09 Thread Nik Kalach
I am sorry for the noise with the commit requests.
This is the last one regarding the Interlingua translation for Gtk-UI 2.24 for
legacy GNOME applications.

The new state of gtk+ - gtk-2-24 - po (Interlingua) is now 'To Commit'.
https://l10n.gnome.org/vertimus/gtk+/gtk-2-24/po/ia

My other request through https://l10n.gnome.org/vertimus/gtk+/gtk-3.8/po/ia has
been committed but I am not sure if I submitted it through the right Vertimus
module. Perhaps, it should be committed through
https://l10n.gnome.org/vertimus/Gtk-UI/gtk-3-8/po/ia

That request is still pending and the statistics for Gtk-UI 3.8 has not been
updated.

Please, commit my requests.

There is no reason to update translations for these branches, as there
will be no new releases from them anymore. At this point you should
only translate master, gtk-3-8, and maybe gtk-2-24 (if you care about
legacy or Windows applications).

Hello Nik,

I think it will be easier if you choose "Reserve for translation" at start,
then "Upload the new translation" to upload your translation to DL,
before requesting help for commit.

That way, you only need to provide single URL since anyone
can easily get URL to translated files from there.

You can follow up real commits with "Inform of submission" later,
as documented in https://l10n.gnome.org/help/vertimus_workflow/

Thanks, I will follow your advise. I am not quite familiar with the GNOME
translation tools and processes yet and the diagram shown in the
vertimus_workflow file looks scary and not quite clear for a newcomer like me.

Could you also explain to me the difference between Vertimus modules gtk+ and
Gtk-UI?
They seem to me have very similar content but different action history.
What happens if the translation is committed to the gtk+ module? Will is show
up as committed in Gtk-UI?
Which one of these modules is used to build gtk+ library?

Thanks again,

Nik

Don't worry too much about that complex workflow. It was intended for
complete
team which has different people for each roles (translator, reviewer,
committer).

My team (ID) has only 2 active members, and we didn't fully follow that
workflow.

DL's gtk+ is for 3.6 and before, while Gtk-UI and Gtk-properties is for 3.8
and after.
