Hi Richard Hughes and translators of gnome color manager Back in May there was a release of gnome color manager which we translated (when color manager was still in the 'GNOME extra' section, I think). I noticed that these strings have not propagated to the gnome 2-32 branch, which could lead to some extra work for some translation teams if they don't msgmerge the translations to gnome 2-32 by themselves. Here's a grammar review, I don't know about ease of translation, as I only translate to en_GB. Some of these suggestions may be wrong (it's rather late) so feel free to ignore them. But none of us can seem to find the module in gnome bugzilla and the bug reporting link in damned lies (which points to bugzilla) doesn't work. Can you point us in the direction of a the place where we are supposed to file this bug. Translations for gnome-color-manager
Hey, I'm intending to release the first version of gnome-color-manager in a little under two weeks time. I would appreciate it if you guys and girls could update existing translations (or add new ones!) before then to make the first release truly rocking. As always, if a string is hard to translate (or just has bad grammar) either check in a fix yourself or email me details and I'll fix it right up. Thanks, Richard. ___ gnome-i18n mailing list gnome-i18n@gnome.org http://mail.gnome.org/mailman/listinfo/gnome-i18n

The new GTKBuilder format allows for separation of text and markup. From a translator point of view, it's better to only translate the text. This is one less source of error. Of course this is not always possible, for example when the markup doesn't include the whole string, like in "Note: Some note". You only need to profile the center of the screen, and so you know where to position it, a grey square appears which you put the device inside. GNOME Color Manager
Hey, A few of us have started a new project called gnome-color-manager. It's in gnome git, and it's nearly ready for its first release, but I really wanted somebody to review the strings to make sure they make sense and that they are easily translatable. My English grammar is not good, and so review at this stage (before I ask for translations) is probably a good idea. So, if you have a few spare minutes, could you please checkout gnome-color-manager and review the strings. If you spot a trivial spelling or grammar error, or just want to add a translator comment, please just commit to git master without even asking (I trust you!). If you want clarification what a string means, or the context is unclear, please email me and i'll add some additional translator markup.
