New string in epiphany

2009-07-30 Thread Vincent Untz
Hi,

The default bookmarks in epiphany (which is just one bookmark ;-)) now
come with a new string: in addition to be the URL for a Google search,
there's the URL for the localized Google homepage.

Thanks,

Vincent

New string in Epiphany

2010-02-22 Thread Gustavo Noronha Silva
Hey,

For 2.29.91 we restored basic notification of SSL certificate brokeness
through the padlock in the location bar. To implement this properly we
need to know where to look for system trusted certificates, and it's
important to warn if it should be there but isn't, so I added a new
message:

g_warning (_("CA Certificates file we should use was not found, "\
   "all SSL sites will be considered to have a broken certificate."));

It is likely not the best way to put this, but since we are tight
schedule-wise, we can improve it later. I believe we're entering string
freeze, so I would like to get you informed, and know if that is OK.

Thanks,

New string in Epiphany

2015-03-04 Thread Michael Catanzaro
Hi,

The string "New Incognito Window" in Epiphany's desktop file was
mistakenly not marked for translation. I've corrected this, so you'll
want to update your translations if you're already done with it. Sorry
about that!

New string in Epiphany

2016-09-09 Thread Michael Catanzaro
Hi,

We discovered an untranslatable string on the new error pages in
Epiphany. I've just marked it for translation. It is: "Technical
information"

Thanks for updating your translations and sorry for the inconvenience.

Something like this would be slightly better imho:

The CA certificates file cannot be found; all SSL sites will
appear to have an invalid certificate.

Otherwise this looks ok to me. Am I right that this message only appears
on the console output?

"We" is ugly. The epiphany developers and the user, hand in hand,
together went searching for the missing CA Certificates?

Uhm, please not...

It's the browser speaking in majestatic plural. You know, like the Pope.

But, but, where's your sense of community?!

Yeah, I was not very inspired in writing that message. Wouter's
suggestion sounds good to me, and yes, it will only appear in console
output. Is it ok to change it to work he suggested, then?

Thanks!

Too bad this change was not pushed earlier. I noticed (during
translating) that the ugly to-be-corrected string is still present... :(
