 Me too.

Well for me it is sort mixed opinions. I sort of liked having it on
one page, but having the GUI and the docs in two columns was way to
compressed. In fact, someone mention replacing the satstus with an
icon, which personally I don't think is a good idea, but the old
layout was so compressed that we had problems because we translated
damned lies, and the because Danish is just a little more long winded
than english (I imagine that's even worse for German ;) ), then it
completely messed the layout up. Ok so my conclusion, if you ask me
just please don't go back to the 2 column layout.

A second thought on this matter is, that we may also over time want to
add more information in these pages and then it makes even more sense
to have a little more room. Personally I have for a long time been
dreaming about the modules that are not in the desktop release, to
have a tentative release date information (for the modules where the
devel want to supply such one) as that would help us plan, and for
documentation to have information about how updated it is, i.e. for
branch or date/state of trunk it reflects. But that will be the
subject of another e-mail.

On another note, nice work with damned lies. I in particular like that
we can mark something as being translated, that is a very helpful
feature.

 Hi,

Hi Jorge,

I've noticed there are several issues at the new DL site:

  * To edit the user profile, the link provided
 http://l10n.gnome.org/users/jorgegonz/edit/edit is broken, it should
not have the last /edit (the link is provided by a sheet and
 magnifying glass icon).

Fixed.

 * At the user profile page, the language is not translated, although I
remember I saw the variable at the string when translating it.

Yes, work in progress. There is still some untranslatable chunks here
and there.

 * Can't I change my password? I find it pretty difficult to remember
 the given one.

Stéphane is working on this.

 * I personally dislike the new layout where the docs and the UI pages
are separated, it takes much longer to download a po file.

The separation of ui and doc in itself shouldn't add more clicks to
download po files. But the fact that the downloadable po is now on the
vertimus page adds one more click. However, with the new workflow, it
is very important that translators see the workflow status *before*
downloading the file, unless duplicate work may easily happen.

 * I do not have permission to see the files I myself uploaded.

Weird, because files should be world-readable. Please point us to a
specific case or open a bug report.

 * Is there a way to approve the uploaded translations? or all the
process must be done manually like before.

The commit process is still manual. One thing at a time :-)

I know you probably spent so much time improving the site, therefore I
want to thank you for all the work done, but also to point out what
doesn't work (yet) and/or how the new features work.

Thanks, this helps.

Hi,

I really also liked the doc+ui single view rather than the split
version. If the problem is the space to put the Translating $date we
can change this with an icon (an info-like one, a blue rounded circle
with a white i inside it) or something in the likes ...

Cheers,

I can see how this is important, but want to remind you that the
workflow doesn't mean all that much for one person teams. Currently it
does add an extra step relative to before, so let's keep it in mind and
see how it goes.

The extreme ease of translating for GNOME is a big attraction, I
believe. Let's try to keep the process as easy and light as possible.
