Reading the code, it appears when sabayon fails a os.unlink() call. Unfortunately, the actual effect of os.link() is remove a file, not break a file system link. I intend to make 2.27.0 this week; do we still need a branch for 2.26? I never intend to release that; Sabayon was way too broken in that time period :( I'd say that for the release team, it's fine to consider 2.25.0 as non-2.26. But since it's mainly an issue for translators now, I guess it's up to them to decide what's better for them. It'd be a bit painful if there were still some releases to be expected for 2.26 (since it'd mean translator would have to push their translations to this branch), but that shouldn't change anything now.
