Re: Submitting translations through l10n.gnome.org
This is terrific and works just fine. Thanks for everybody involved in making this possible. It significantly reduces the barrier for non-technical contributors. Thank you, this ROCKS! 01/02/2014 09:57, sgrìobh Claude Paroz: Hi dear translators, I'd like to share a good news: it is now possible to submit translations to GNOME Git server through the l10n.gnome.org Web interface. Basically, when a translation file has been uploaded and has the status of "Ready for submission", any team member with status of committer or coordinator should see a new option "Submit to repository". This action takes the last uploaded file and commits it to git.gnome.org. Please report any issue either here or on GNOME bugzilla. https://bugzilla.gnome.org/browse.cgi?product=damned-lies As with all new features, we can expect some rough edges in the start. I hope that nobody will abuse of these liberties. Committers status should still be reserved for experimented translators. Time will tell. Re: Submitting translations through l10n.gnome.org
Hi Claude, That's a good news! Thank you for the great job. I have a question. Is any member with a committer status allowed to submit translation to the repository, even if he or she does not have a commit access to git.gnome.org? If so, I understand that a team or a team coordinator can control actual committers by themselves without having to request accounts of git.gnome.org. Is that right? Re: Submitting translations through l10n.gnome.org
Hello Claude, I do not know if it is possible but I think it would be nice to insert a combo box, where the commiter can select the author of the commit. But sometimes more than one translator works on a translation file, e.g.: In a file that 3 people has worked translating, just the last translator would received credits. As the --author parameter only receives one person, who contributed with more lines would receive the credits. Best Regards and congratulations for this new enhancement! __ Em 01/02/2014 08:21, Claude Paroz escreveu: Le samedi 01 février 2014 à 08:15 -0200, Enrico Nicoletto a écrit : Hello Claude. Hello Claude. It´s terrific!
