Technically your commit
(http://git.gnome.org/browse/nautilus/commit/?id=acce5e1c70e10ef550cfed888a852e5048dc4b3d)
broke string freeze as you changed the year from 2010 to 2011. It's nothing
major as it only appears in the about dialog but still please be more careful
next time because as you made the tarballs already, the translators have to
chance to reach 100% for nautilus for the 3.0.0 release.

Please respect string freze in the future!

Thanks,
Johannes

Hi Johannes and i18n list,

sorry about that, I did not pay enough attention. As it's already in
tarballs, I don't think it's worth to revert it and roll another one at
this point.

I'll do my best to avoid such things for future releases.

Cosimo

In this specific case the correct and future proof solution is to use
strftime and this format string:

_("Copyright © 1999–%Y The Nautilus authors")

(Note: with a U+2013 EN DASH and not a normal hypen!)

Yeah, I agree.
I opened https://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=646735 so that we
don't forget for 3.2.

Fwiw, I added some comments to this bug about possibly supporting
locale-specific digit notations.
