without getting asked or noticed.

I may be a bit late here, but I wonder why we need a button for this
at all. Can't we just copy the screenshot to the clipboard by default,
without waiting for the user to click a button ?

due to lack of time on my side I let slip the patch attached to bug
99897:

which adds a 'Copy to clipboard' button to the save dialog of
gnome-screenshot. the patch is trivial in logic and since we are kind of
closing old bugs (like 56070) in this GNOME release, I'd like to get
this <10 bug closed as well. :-)
