Hello all

What is the status of this feature request?

Bug 106383 – feature request: close year end
http://bugzilla.gnome.org/show_bug.cgi?id=106383

I know it's only a feature request, but I'd like to use such a feature.

Thank you for information.

I know it's only a feature request, but I'd like to use such a feature.

(As with most projects, the requests (or bugs) existing has nothing to do
with code changes... we need more people to do work, not suggest features.)

As you're aware, there is some code for Close Books in SVN, but – your
assertion in comment #10 notwithstanding – it's not known to be stable.
AIUI, it's quite incomplete. I don't imagine it will be re-enabled for 2.2...

It might be helpful if you write up a description of the testing you did, and
what the effects of the feature were. That might convince someone that it is
(not) worth re-enabling for 2.2, or at least give us all a clearer picture of
what work remains. I've personally not even used it, let alone looked at the
code.

Josh,

You're right. As soon as possible for me, I will make
some test scenarios and post it here.
