[GNC] New Accounts do not Display

2023-04-23 Thread Benjamin Soffer
When I create new accounts they do not display in the accounts list. The
account is created and I can find it with "Edit > Find Account," but it does
not appear in the list.

[GNC] Trial Balance Report Settings

2023-01-02 Thread Benjamin Soffer
Hello and Happy New Year!

I have lots of accounts with zero balances (which I must keep for legal
reasons). When I run a Trial Balance report, all of those accounts are
included in the report, making the report much longer than necessary. Is there
a setting that would enable me to exclude zero-balance accounts from the Trial
Balance report?

I am using Version: 4.8, Build ID: 4.8a+(2021-09-28)

Thank you!

Never mind - I see what I am doing wrong. I am failing to select "terms" when
I create the invoice.

Thank you

What type of Bill Terms are you using.
GnuCash only supports certain types in computing the due date.

[GNC] Billing Terms Due Date is Ignored

2022-08-27 Thread Benjamin Soffer
Hello,

I'm using GNC version 4.8 (Build ID 4.8a - 2021-09-28) in Windows.

I have edited the Billing Terms so that the Due Date is +15 days.

However, when I post a new invoice, the Due Date set in the Billing Terms is
ignored and the default due date that is displayed is identical to the post
date. See attached screen capture.

Any suggestions?

Thank you

Ben

Re: [GNC] Billing Terms Editor not "sticky"

Yes, you would think that's how it would work. But, in fact, it does now.
When I post the invoice, it ignores the entry in the Billing Terms table.

The Billing Terms Editor merely allows you to maintain a table of differing
terms. When an invoice is posted, the applicable terms are those specified in
the Customer (or Vendor) record, which refers to an entry in the Billing Terms
table.

Hello,

I am using version 3.8 for Windows.

When I set the invoice "due" period in the Billing Terms Editor (for example
15 days), the system does not "remember" this setting when I post a new
invoice. The due date remains the same as the post date, by default. Any
suggestions?

Set your billing terms. Although I don't remember if it allows an arbitrary
delay. I know 30 days is supported.
