Re: [GNC] Tweak of Memorized Transactions
I agree. On 3/24/2019 2:59 PM, Jack Slater wrote: Good ideas. I use the Memo line once in a while for purchases at some stores, but usually it is left blank. In single line mode later I will enter another purchase at the same store, the memorized transaction fills the Memo field with the memo from the earlier transaction which is not relevant for this one. Further this is hidden in single line mode so the transaction is posted with the bogus memo. This produces false positives when searching on the memo field. I could use auto-split mode but this is annoying when most transactions do not need the extra steps. To overcome this issue it would be convenient to have one or both of these options in the Preferences: 1. Automatically open the detail (split) view if any of the Memo fields of the proposed transaction are not empty. 2. Do not insert the contents of Memo fields in memorized transactions (in single line mode?). Do other users want something like this? Re: [GNC] Fwd: Incorrect Current Value for stock
A potential cause of a strange entry in the price database could be an erroneous transaction that was later corrected. When I manually enter stock transactions, I sometimes make an error. If I have completed the transaction entry, the erroneous information is added to the price database. If I subsequently edit the transaction to correct it, then a new item is added to the price database but the previous incorrect entry is not removed. -Arthur On 10/15/2018 12:25 PM, Gerald Mathias wrote: "Please remember to copy the list on all replies. I removed the latest price (user:price, as opposed to user:split-register and Finance::Quote for earlier prices) and got rid of the extra six million dollars but I find lots of mysteries in the Price Database besides just how that crazy price got there in the first place. The current value is the number of shares times the latest price in the price database, so open Tools>Price Database and check the prices for that stock. [GNC] 3.0 can't find drive on win 7 for .csv transaction import
Installed 3.0 without problem. When I click on "Import transactions from CSV...", the wizard screen comes up, then I get error message shown in attachment. Any ideas?
