[GNC] Company name on a receipt and Balance Sheet

2022-02-15 Thread Ian D Henry
When I use the Balance Sheet in Assets and Liabilities tab or Receipt under
the Business tab, the name of the business is not shown. I want the
receipt to show who received the money. I can't find anything in chapter 9
of the manual to help me. I would not trust my luck at creating a custom
report because I did not understand most of what was in the manual about
that process.

[GNC] multi col income report

2020-12-20 Thread Ian D Henry
I have been using the experimental multi col report. Up to the end of
October, the report prints on one page. Now that Nov is included the
document is too wide for the paper and the numbers for November are
truncated. There is no second page with the missing numbers. Once I add
the year end column after December there will be two columns that are not
printed. Is there a way to avoid this?

I'd also like to suppress the printing of the $ sign, since it does not add
any useful information. Is that possible?

On a less important note is there a way to change the date format to read
something like 31Dec20 instead of 31/12/20 and is there a way to suppress
leading zeros in the current date formats?

Thank you for your advice.

[GNC] hiding expense and income accounts with zero balances

2020-03-07 Thread Ian D Henry
I am very new to Gnucash and I have not been able to find answers to
questions which I think possible ought to have easy answers.

1 Is there a way to suppress display of accounts with a zero balance in the
Balance Sheet and Income Statement?
2 How do I display either statement with a specific end date? For
example, today is 7March and I want to provide reports as at 29February.
The standard Income statement shows that it covers 1Jan20 to 30Jun20 and
the Balance Sheet is at 30Jun20. The accounting year is 1Jul19 to 30Jun20.
3 Has anyone produced an multi column Income report that lists the income
and expense by month?

Thank you in advance for your help.

[GNC] grouping deposited items

2020-03-03 Thread Ian D Henry
I may have used the wrong search terms, but I can't find out if Gnucash has
a way of grouping deposited items so they can be matched with the deposit
amount on the bank statement.
