Umm... there are two packages in ubuntu/debian; unison and unison-gtk.
The GUI stuff is only in the latter.

In this case, we probably need to split unison package. Following NCP
policy here to accept console-only/daemon-only/library-only packages...

Any progress?
If you're having problems with the gui then forget about the gui for
now, since the gui is only used on the "client side" anyway, if it's
used at all.

Great news! It's sooo slow to run unison on locally mounted remote
filesystems, so it's awesome to finally get unison running on nexenta.

Unfortunately I have no idea how to send the package to the nexenta
repository, but hopefully someone else here does. I not, then I can
host the package(s) for you.

Many thanks!

unison

2008-05-14 Thread Marcus Sundman
Hi,

Has anyone looked at including unison? Since nexenta is commonly used as
a file server one would think that rsync and unison would be the two
most important programs to include (beside NFS and SMB/CIFS, which I
wouldn't count as "programs"). Nexenta has had rsync for quite a while,
but unison has been missing so far. :-(
