Last time round Venkatesh Desai (Congress) won with 4177 votes Runner-up Narahari Haldankar (BJP) polled 3323 votes Both are standing again so the odd are on Congress to win and to have the first crack at forming the next Government. The real election winner was Sandesh Prabudesai with http://www.goanews.com even though he let his BJP sympathies show through a few times.
