Woman gang raped, passengers looted in running train. Just about 2 weeks before, I read on Goan Dailies about a woman who was rapped on a running train. Just 2 days ago, I read another such case (on Times of India Print Edition dtd 23/12)where a 22yrs old women was gang raped on Puspak Express on Mubai-Lucknow bound train. It was during this robbing spree that one of them laid his eyes on a 22year old married woman. The dacoits soon dragged her to the toilet and began gang-raping her. When three men protested, they were thrown out of the train The nightmare began at about 10pm when about a dozen armed men barged into the train in Bhopal. >From there, as the train sped towards the next station, Bina, it was a sheer >orgy of violence that lasted almost three hours; there was no trace, of course, of the GRP or any other police force. No GRP in sight, the criminals have a free run. Carrying the loot, they get off near Janshi and fade into the night. However, the Railway minister, Lalu Prasad said in New Delhi that the rape could not be confirmed. (Source: Times of India (print edition) dtd 23rd Dec) My comments: I must say this route is very notorious, where armed GRP themselves looting passengers at day light particularly Goans on Goa Express. Ref. my prev. posting see below. It wont be surprised me if GRP themselves are involved in the daring rape/dacoity or go hand in hand with the dacoits. Shame on Indian Railways!!
